The project "Don't Sink, Sit" is a fusion of product design and public art that reinterprets the conventional chair. I reimagined the conventional purpose of a chair, drawing inspiration from the comforting essence of a mother's womb to create a space of boundless, free-floating existence. This piece transcends the traditional use of a chair, offering a sanctuary for full-body immersion and the sensation of floating in a nurturing space. In crafting this piece, a single stainless steel sheet was shaped around a handmade wooden frame, employed during the manufacturing to ensure no cuts were made to the material, highlighting a commitment to minimizing waste and emphasizing sustainable design practices.
